SEPHORA CLEAN BEAUTY KIT REVIEW

When I saw Sephora was creating a clean makeup campaign in their store, I knew 100% I had to support this movement. The whole reason I do this blog and my Youtube channel is to show people that clean beauty can perform just as well, if not better, than conventional makeup.

Sephora designed a clean makeup kit that retails for $28 dollars and I believe is well worth the price. (PS It's currently 50% off for Labor Day! Click here to buy!)  Although not every single product in the kit is 100% clean, it is a step towards the right direction. I was able to create a beautiful look using the entire kit (minus the eyeshadow because it didn’t come with one). And I am very pleased with the way the look came out. So let's break down the kit and my thoughts.

The following products can be found in the Clean Beauty kit:

1. Ilia True Skin foundation- In my opinion, this was a fantastic choice because it has a formula that is very similar to conventional makeup with great wear and coverage. The sample color selection was not very broad but at least people can feel the formula and see the coverage. Ilia also have a wide selection of colors if anyone were to get the bottle.
2. Ilia Tru Skin Radiant priming serum- To be honest this was the only product I didn’t really see the wow factor. The formula is not sticky and looks great under the foundation but I found it to be only ok. Nothing spectacular about it. I didn’t notice a huge difference in the way my foundation looks like when I don’t use a primer.
3. Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara- The formula I loved, the wand not so much. I found the wand to be hard and it kinda poked me when I applied it so not a huge fan of it.
4. Lawless Seal the Deal Loose Translucent Setting Powder- Not the cleanest formula but the finish is beautiful! Although I would say it is not translucent more of a yellow toned powder. Would love to keep using it under my eyes as well because it reminds me of the Ben Nye powder to set my concealer. In my tutorial, you’ll be able to see I placed it all over my face but I was not a fan because of the Yellow color.
5. Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer- Absolutely stunning! The glow is real when you apply this and so natural looking. Not 100% clean so be aware.
6. Bite Beauty Multistick in Cashew- Loved this on the lips and cheeks. It looks super pigmented on the cheeks when you initially apply it but blends out so easily and gives a very nice mauve flush tone to the cheeks. On the lips it looks so beautiful. I do fear though that this color may be a bit dark for my fair skin ladies.
7. RMS Beauty Wild with Desire mini lipstick in Temptation- Such a beautiful color but very bright! As a lover of color, I can see myself wearing this but if people are to scared of color they may not be a fan of it. I wish they would have chosen a more nude color so that more people would be able to wear it. However, I appreciate how bright and pigmented it is to show people clean makeup can be just as pigmented as conventional makeup. The formula is super creamy and hydrating as well.

Overall, I think for $28 bucks you get some pretty good products if you are looking to start transitioning from conventional makeup to clean makeup. All the formulas are amazing, which in my opinion, is most important. If they don’t like the color at least they can go online and buy the color they prefer and know that the formula is worth the change! Would you be down to getting this clean beauty kit? Cuando vi que Sephora estaba creando una campaña de maquillaje limpio, sabía perfectamente que tenía que apoyar esta campaña. La razón principal por la que hago este blog y tengo mi canal de Youtube, es para demostrar que el maquillaje limpio es igual de bueno e incluso mejor que el maquillaje tradicional.

Sephora diseñó un kit de maquillaje limpio por un precio de $28 y creo profundamente que este precio es el correcto. Aunque, no todo el maquillaje es 100% limpio, es un paso bastante grande a la dirección correcta. Cree un look usando todo el kit de maquillaje (excepto por la pastañina, porque no venía). Y el resultado final me dejó bastante contenta. Entonces vamos a hablar de cada parte y de mi opinión sobre ella.

Estos son los productos que hay en el kit:

1. Ilia True Skin Foundation: En mi opinión, esta fue una fantástica elección, debido a que la fórmula es bastante similar a la de una base de maquillaje convencional con una gran cobertura. Las muestras de colores no tienen bastantes opciones, pero al menos las personas pueden ver la fórmula y ver la cobertura de la base. Ilia también tiene una gran selección de colores, por si alguien se anima a comprar la botella.
2. Ilia Tru Skin priming serum: Para ser honesta, en este producto no vi ningún factor que me sorprendiera. La fórmula no es pegajosa y luce estupenda debajo de la base, pero descubrí que es algo normal, no tiene nada de espectacular. No vi ninguna diferencia en mi piel cuando lo utilicé y cuando no lo utilicé.
3. Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara: La fórmula me encantó, la brocha no tanto. Descubrí que la brocha es un poco dura y me toco un poco el ojo cuando me la aplique, no soy fan de eso en lo absoluto.
4. Lawless Seal the Deal Loose Translucent Setting Powder: No es la fórmula más limpia, pero el acabo es ¡hermoso!, aunque no diría que es el más translúcido, tiene un tono un poco amarillento. Me encantaría seguir utilizandolo debajo de mis ojos para sellar el corrector, me recuerda a la marca Ben Nye Powder para sellar el corrector. En mi tutorial, podrás ver cómo lo utilicé en toda la cara, pero debido al color amarillento no fue mi favorito.
5. Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer: ¡Es maravilloso!, el brillo es real, cuando lo aplicas se ve un brillo super natural. No es 100% limpio, entonces tengan cuidado.
6. Bite Beauty Multistick in Cashew: Me encantó para los labios y para las mejillas. Se ve super pigmentado en las mejillas cuando empiezas a aplicarlo, pero es super fácil de difuminar y crea un tono un poco moradito, medio rosadito suave en las mejillas. En los labios también se ve divino. Aunque, si me genera un poco de miedo que el color sea un poco oscuro para mi tono de piel.
7. RMS Beauty Wild with Desire Mini Lipstick in temptation: Es un color tan hermoso, pero es un poco vivo. Como amante de los colores, me puedo ver utilizando este color, pero para las personas que no utilizan este tipo de colores, no creo que sean fans de este color. Hubiera preferido que hubieran elegido un color un poco más nude, para que más personas puedan utilizarlo. Sin embargo, me gusta mucho como que sea un color vivo y lo pigmentado que es. Esto demuestra una vez que el maquillaje limpio puede ser igual de pigmentado al del maquillaje tradicional. La fórmula es super cremosa e hidratante.

Después de todo, pienso que por $28 obtienen unos productos muy buenos y es un buen comienzo para empezar la transición al maquillaje limpio. Todas las fórmulas son asombrosas, que en mi opinión, es lo más importante. Si a algunas personas no les gusta el color, por lo menos ya tienen una idea de como es la fórmula y así ir online y comprar el color que deseen, sabiendo que la fórmula vale totalmente el cambio. ¿Comprarías este kit de maquillaje limpio?
