Epcot: Food & Wine Festival 2016

Epcot's Food and Wine Festival is by far one of the best festivals any food junkie would absolutely LOVE! Plus who doesn’t like wearing Mickey ears?! This year was my second time going and my husband and I decided to go on the last weekend, which was not smart lol It was crazy busy but we still had a lot of fun.  If you’re ever in the Orlando area in the Fall make sure to go during the week this way it isn’t so crazy. There are over 15 countries to drink and eat from.  Just to name a few, they have New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Africa (I know not a country but they have food from different countries in Africa) Poland, Italy, China, Morocco, Belgium, Germany, France, Brazil, Scotland, Ireland, Greece and many more!

The cost of the Food & Wine Festival can add up.  You must buy a ticket to get into the park and you want to make sure you have at least $200 dollars to get your belly full from all the countries. Once you are in the park the first thing you want to do is get a passport booklet.  These are free and basically has a menu of all the countries at the park.  This way you can take a look at it and see what appetizes you from each booth.  The neat thing is that after going to each booth you can place a sticker in your passport to check the country off your list! There are also many acts/shows around the park that represent each country.  One of my all time favorites is Japan's drum beating show.

I recommend starting in Mexico and making your way around because it can get pretty hot in Florida and a frozen margarita can do the trick to help you cool off while making your way around the park.  Some of my favorite stops are Mexico, Germany, and Brazil.  Being a nacho fanatic, I always have to get my grub on in Mexico with these delicious nachos.  In Germany I always love to get the flight of four beers to try, which are all so tasty.  Brazil makes the BEST cheese breads ever! “Pan de queso” is one of my favorite things to eat because it reminds me of weekend mornings with my family growing up.  My mom would always make these and the house would smell so good!

This is an all-day event so make sure to get there around noon and stay til the firework spectacle at the end of the night. Bring an empty belly and be prepared to stuff your face! So like always remember to dream big, be brave, & explore life!
