Two ingredients that help reduce acne scarring and hyperpigmentation!

Whenever I travel or eat poorly my skin always ends up suffering the most. This past month has been crazy and my skin is clearly proof of that. So when my skin starts to suffer from cystic acne or just normal acne I turn to Aloe Vera and Vitamin C.

Aloe Vera is what I like to call a super plant. It has healing properties that can be used anywhere in the body whenever a cut, acne, and even burn happens. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help heal the skin. I feel this is the magic ingredient to help my cystic acne get smaller and reduce scarring! They start out the size of an egg but in matter of five days reduce to almost nothing.

Next we have Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps reduce the redness and prevent hyperpigmentation. Being a Latina this is one of my major issues, but as soon as I see an acne scar I drench in vitamin C. It helps produce more collagen and elastin in the skin.

Collagen is so important to produce because it fights off the bacteria created by acne. Elastin allows your skin to stretch and contract. So when those pesky huge egg sized cystic acne attacks I need both these proteins more than ever and vitamin C helps produce just that.

With that being said I’m going to share some products that have helped heal my skin rather quickly.
1. Face Wash Nourish Organic Watercress & Cucumber. The number one ingredient is Aloe Vera #score
2. Ursa Major 4 in 1 Essential Face Tonic. Once again the Aloe Vera juice is the #1 ingredient.
3. My holy Grail for Vitamin C is Fitglow Beauty Vita Active Serum. It has 30% Vitamin C!

The following pictures are a 5 day difference using these products. Now it doesn’t mean you have to use these exact products. You just need to find products in your budget that have these two ingredients!
